I am totally against this. Just look at the park beside the marine over pass covered in garbage and now the city wants to have a village.

Get the money first before spending our money. 6-8 million to get off the ground and run this place seems crazy for a city that is not suppose to be paying for this in the first place.

They work hard and pay taxes. Why is this even acceptable. Some thing needs to be done to clean up these areas.

why is the city always answering the questions? What happened to DSSAB, is this not their problem to fix. If they are not getting enough funding why is not plastered all over the news. Where is the plan!

more cross walks and fancy circle intersections. Why not try fixing the roads we have now.

They are really going to have to clean these people up before finding housing. They need a drug free environment otherwise its just a crack house.

How about no encampments. We just don't allow them. No roof over your head then you must go to a shelter. If shelters are full then dsab must find you a space even if that means they must rent a room for you at local motel. You will be given a social worker to deal with your problems. Tax payer encampments are a legal nightmare.

I parked at the marina for a gathering at the restaurant and had to pay and then realized if I leave my vehicle it will be ticketed .

I would love to be in charge. You never have to balance a budget you just keep giving yourselves moremoremore! and pat your selves on the back while telling us it is good to hold onto your cash incase we need something.

There should be one encampment that is clean, and policed . There should be services to help those who want to helped. If you don’t want to stay then move on to the next city. This is a province funding issue. It’s time to demand more from the politicians.

They need a house, food, cell phone, bus pass and in exchange they will get jobs and turn their lives around. Can we get that in writing?

I agree we are compromising all the investments people have put into their businesses . It’s hard enough to run a business, why are we making it harder. Bus them in and out of a location that does not affect anyone’s livelihood.

Only problem is they voted in the 1 percent to make change. I am not betting on it.

Building apartments for $2000 /month is not fixing any problems for DASSAB
