I hope they lost their license for 30 days, vehicle impounded and up to 10 k in fines???? doing donuts in the snow in a completely empty parking lot gets you that, so I sure hope the law punishes people stupid enough to literally put children's lives at risk just as bad. How do you miss a giant yellow bus with flashing lights? mind blowing.

the amount of times one must stop in their car to drive across this small city is beyond insane... what should be a 5 minute drive takes upwards of 25 minutes due to traffic lights on almost every block...now seems everywhere you turn they want to put up extra pedestrian lights too...who makes these decisions??? who is paying for this?? the ones that favor this stuff are likely the ones that vote liberal and cry about global warming....but hey lets stop traffic every 50 feet so cars can sit and idle for 2 minutes per block......and dont even get started on buying an electric car!

lappeman-its a school track event...where kids run, and go full out... we are not talking about firefighters that take on a job knowing the risks/pay. we are talking about a kids outdoor event that can easily be rescheduled to save the possibility of someone needing medical assistance. guaranteed it has absolutely nothing to do with you, but yet people like you feel the need to comment on posts like this to look cool? tough? smart? embarrassing comment.

while I do partly agree with you as it seems today more people are under the influence , or under the assumption that they can drive well above the speed limit and handle their vehicle better then anyone else... part of me has to disagree...... our roads are maintained horrendously... icy surfaces on highways constantly.... roads falling apart...... massive snowbanks at busy intersections..... 2 way stops to cross extremely busy highways instead of overpasses.... the list goes on. but hey , lets send our Canadian money over seas instead of putting it towards highways that literally connect all our provinces.

couldn't agree more...the entitlement is out of this world.... very very few homeless people actually want a job, to pay bills/taxes and pay for things from working a 9-5 like most. instead...tax the hard working citizens and handout to the entitled ones. the enabling needs to stop....I for one am tired of paying for it off my cheque much like many many others I know.

I am 36 years old, been on sleds since I could walk...ride even winter....with the cost of living , the cost of sleds, the cost of fuel etc, myself and absolutely everyone I know that rides would never pay a dime to ride a " groomed" trail....waste of money/resources.

bored commentater- Im not saying chinese vehicles are all junk... I am fully aware of how well built import vehicles are..acuras, hondas, mitsubishi they all make good vehicles...but a chinese ev is laughable... I work in the auto trade... since you know so much..please..tell me how well these electric vehicles fair in our -40 weather? or how long they can go on a charge...while towing? heading out to a camp in remote areas... electric cars have there place...northern Ontario is not the place. unless you carry your gas powered generator in the trunk or travel very very few km per day and park in a heated garage. everyone thinks evs are so good for the environment... how about you do research on the carbon footprint just to get the materials for these battery's alone. how long they last, and where they go once they no longer hold a charge. Just because you love carney doesnt mean you have to love everything he says or does to ya know.

Alice miller, Carney the clown did just "cancel" the carbon tax. but not long after that, he said we need to put a price on carbon. there are a million other ways for the government to cut down on carbon footprint in our country, but the liberals would rather just stick there hands in our pockets. the so called carbon tax may be gone, but if Carney the clown and his circus get elected, mark my works the liberals will come after our hard earned money again and just call it something else.
