The door was only open for about less than 50 seconds. If there was a safety concern, it should be reviewed, but that alone doesn't necessarily mean the driver should be fired.
I understand why you're upset, but if the door was left open for only few seconds, it may have been a mistake rather than something that warrants firing the driver. It would make more sense for the transit company to review what happened and determine whether any safety rules were violated. I'm more concerned about making sure the issue is addressed properly and consistently.
They always hire good people and proper training is given to all the drivers. Buses usually dont move if the door is open, if the bus is moving it means their was maintenance issue.
Its very easy to make assumptions without knowing what has happened. No one is injured, the bus might have a mechanical issue, thats the problem that need to be fixed. I dont think soo driver is at fault. Mechanical problem can occur with anyone on road.
