Poll: Readers say both Biden and Trump should withdraw from U.S. race

Not sure why some people wouldn't want a proven leader like Trump, business, and now politically. Most of the media have been leaning towards hate for Trump in the last 8 years. Kinda sad really.

Sounds like many here are faithful CNN etc etc viewers. Anyone who follows politics, honestly, will see the failures of the Biden Harris government. They have told people to hate Trump for 8 years now. It's to bad he comes off like a bully at times, but facts do point to strong leadership and everyone was better off the four years he was there. Not just America, but the world itself. Check it out

Congrats Donald Trump. Get the oil and gas flowing. Trump won't be hard on Canadian steel, it's Mexico and China he is going to keep in check. One has to be very careful of what the majority Liberal owned media tells us.

We need a change in Ottawa. One doesn't have to be a political aficionado to realize that...

If it's going to make life somewhat easier for everyone, especially working folk's, financally, then I guess he's the wise choice?

Are some of the Councilors actually serious about the the blatant problems in the city? "Did you let the dog out", or is it, who let the dogs out ". Maybe turn off your phones and get down to business!

Four years of Trump will be fine, unless one's head is stuck on CNN...

Better to get along with Trump, as we here in Canada rely on the USA as we are under its nuclear umbrella. Palace mentioned pea brain Trump, he's the furthest thing from a pea brain, unless one is getting there political news from CNN and the View etc...

Operated heavy equipment for years. The snow banks have to be removed more rapidly than they are doing. That will cut back on the ice chunks thrown in driveways. A big cost, but we live in the North and we'll get many storms.

A lot of negative comments about the man who will be our next PM. Most of those commenters would likely get behind Kamala if they lived across the ditch eh. Yikes

We could remember that North America, and some places around the world, are 90 percent owned by Liberals, left wingers, if you will. The lady who wrote the column failed to mention that the aforementioned is a big part of the misinformation, sometimes lying, media.

Wow, CNN CBC especially MSNBC,, and the rest of the Liberal media would hire you in a heart beat Wild fires in California, and area, date back to the 1800s, bad ones too. Having one of your meetings in China Mexico South Korea and India, the worst polluters in the world, might be more sensible. Your opinion letter seemed to be more of an episode of Trump bashing. In the meantime, perhaps come to the Soo and help get rid of the 12 foot snow banks.

Yes, then JT can be sent packing. Someone mentioned Justin is doing a good job, that's right out of left field. I guess the commentor doesn't follow Canadian politics, or perhaps is a lifetime Liberal eh...

What's wrong with this city? Isn't there a Sooite that can be the MP? I think Cameron Ross mentioned Mr Stevenson being an intellect. Perhaps, but common sense with a touch of wisdom is by far more attractive than intellect. Does the Police Chief have that?, None of us knows as most don't know him that well

Yes, Trump does what's best for the USA, other countries are secondary in the eyes of this great policy making man. We should be so lucky to have a PM like Trump.

Kudos to the handful of Councillors not wanting to hang Kinach. Especially Sonny Spina who will likely try and get the nod to run as a Conservative MP once again. If that's the case, then wise move...

It took Joe Warmington awhile to find Mr Mero and get the young man's story. Kudos to Joe, and kudos to Mero, for voicing his grievances with the PM

Good for you Kinach. Better to go alone in the right direction, than with a crowd going in the wrong direction. I don't see why an elected official should apologise for his freedom of opinion. Ron...
