We moved here in 2010 . Today we love Sault Ste Marie more than ever. In spite of the social and economic issues we share in common with all communities of similar size ,this fact remains: The Sault is a great place to live, set in a beautiful region and inhabited by kind and caring people.
I generally support the excellent municipal services we get here in the Sault. Our civic employees do an exemplary job...BUT... on this issue I agree with the complainants' various posts. The ice deposits are almost impossible to move manually and would most likely damage a snowblower. It's not as easy as it seems to get a snow removal service to quickly attend on a random callout. Post scraping, the City should provide a driveway obstruction removal service, especially for seniors.
Barb's is a good local small business. The owner/operator is an honest and hard working entrepreneur. We have purchased products and they are of good quality. If you want to support local... buy local.
Spoken like a true blue conservative Frank. I know you never liked Trudeau and I agree he was well past his best before date. However, our current PM is far better suited to deal with the Trump dilemma and all that goes with it. Certainly better equipped than the current leader of the Conservative Party of Canada. Any thoughts of becoming a liberal even if just for now? Hmm,probably not.
It is about Trump's moronic ( even if only whimsical ) threats to our sovereignty as much as tariffs. We are insulted and angry . There is no civility left in me when it comes to Trump and his kind.
We intend to spend all of our vacation time and money here in Ontario,Quebec and our Maritime Provinces. Not one red cent will go to our former favorites in the US. Gonna miss Northen MI. and MN. a bit ,but I cannot support Trump's America.
This is not what our city and region are. The few bad actors stealing and damaging property for whatever purpose are nothing more than low life's. If caught they need a good kick in the bells...then carted off for prosecution...sheesh.
