The city should purchase the Niska land from the GRCA and set up a camp site there, complete with toilets and waste collection, and transition people from there directly into housing. Give out bus passes so people can get in and out of town for any appointments.

The city should buy the eight hectare parcel and use the west side of it, adjacent to Pioneer Rd, it as a temporary managed site for camping for the unhoused. I note that there is already an established three season trailer park further up Pioneer Rd.

Why will the city not purchase the land and protect it for future generations. And what is with th GRCA, acting all high handed in this matter. Their 'stewardship' hereabouts has amounted to sticking up 'No Trespassing' signage. Disgraceful all round.

Better to use the $260,000 to purchase the Niska lannd from the GRCA, then allow camping there, with waste collection and toilets. Invite Six Nations to put up sufficient communal teepees and make a daily potlatch supper, and manage the site.

Spend the money on the Niska lands and turn it into a managed camp site with toilets and waste collection, and transition people from there into housing.

With cameras on every corner, we have policing substantially built into the infrastructure.

Cam Guthrie is/was a 'global Mayor', i'll have you know.

This way, the City will own the Niska lands that GRCA wants to sell, and they can be put to good use immediately. Win - win!

Broken English Bistro serves authentic Eastern European food such as schnitze, sausage, potato dumplings, peirogies and cabbage rolls, and comes highly recommended. Outdoor dining in summer too on a lovely patio. Its well away from the chaos downtown.... 543 Speedvale Avenue East

there is a healthy market for resale tickets.

the money would be better spent purchasing the Niska land from the GRCA, and allowing camping there with a managed site.
