I support the Mayor in his efforts to appoint new leadership,direction and vision going forward for Police Services in this city. It has to be an improvement.

SooToday 18The only way to revitalize the downtown is to get people to live in the downtown.This can only happen by replacing the old rundown buildings with new Apartment Buildings. New Business outlets would then set up to cater to the people living in the area. The Beaches area in Toronto was a good model to follow in turning a depressed unsafe area into a vibrant residential and commercial area. The new Legion building on Great Northern Road is the model to follow where you have a Commercial Enterprise on the bottom Floors and Residential Apartments above.

City council snuffs out Downtown Association

The City has no policy or game plan as to how to deal with this drug addiction issue. Revitalization of the downtown core can only be achieved with people moving to the downtown area. This will not happen without new building developments and getting control of the drug addiction problems in this area of the city.
