If the description of the attack by the victim is accurate then the owners should be ashamed of themselves for their behaviour towards the victim afterwards.

Being held hostage in our own City by people who have reason to BE here other than to take handouts and do a bit of pilfering now and then.

That’s fine , but how about the rights of the residents within a kilometre of their party at the Granite club being able to go to sleep? The music or whatever you want to call it was so loud until 2 A.M. that our walls were vibrating and that’s NOT an exaggeration.

So, is it not clearly explained to the applicants before they’re hired what they will be exposed to once they’re hired? I know I couldn’t handle being a policeman or paramedic THAT’S why I never applied. They may need to re evaluate their vetting process. Do the math that’s a large amount of money being handed fir nothing.

Is this really news worthy and if deemed so was it really necessary to get so descriptive with the details? I agree that details are very helpful when reporting the news but I’m pretty sure your audience can get the idea of what happened with a little less information.

Now, let’s see if our ‘Judicial System’ actually serves justice for a change.

And as usual, no names published so there’s one less reason for them to NOT to do it again.

Maybe they should head overseas, it seems there’s a lot of people heading this way, why not send some the other way.

Texting while driving. THAT’’S what’s wrong.

Why not just do it the old way ? Up until 20 years ago there were Police dedicated to enforcing the rules of the road by having a presence out there pulling vehicles over sometimes giving a warning and reminding drivers of the rules of tae road and in some cases handing out tickets. Some drivers are breaking the law continuously because they have gotten away with it for so long now without consequences that they have become complacent. In order for our roads to be safe we NEED to Police presence and enforcement. The only people who don’t agree are likely the ones breaking the law. If you follow the rules of the road you have nothing to worry about.

LizYes, I did and apparently many others did too. It’s the first time in 54 years of living in that area that I have called because of ANYTHING that was interfering with my right to go to sleep. I called at 0130. I’m all for inclusion and equal rights etc but keeping me fro going to sleep at a reasonable time isn’t fair period.

Inanimate objects don’t harm people quit blaming the highway . Driver’s habits are errors in judgment are the culprit. Ask any Policeman or EMS personnel and ask how many fatals they attended because the everyone involved was driving too slow or too attentive for the conditions and you’ll see the answer is zero.

Maybe team sports aren’t for this kid.

I would have rather seen as much effort put in to opening up huge Psychiatric facilities like the one we had on Highway 11 North. Closing them has had much more of a negative impact on our Society than cutting the passenger train.

No name no shame and this person DESERVES to be shamed.

The concerned citizens of that neighborhood should get together and organize themselves to have a HUGE presence when the 1st person tries to set up their tarp strongly opposing it and NOT let him.

You must keep in mind, the people that put up the blockades don’t need the work and have an endless supply of money flowing to them whether that area is ever developed or not. That’s the problem.

I can’t be the only one baffled when there’s a collision on a divided Highway during non peak volume hours on dry bare roads where the temperature is above freezing. Mechanical issues? Medical issues? Maybe but not likely.

I’ve been riding bikes street bikes for over 50 years and the combination the reckless mindset of the younger bike rider and the power of today’s bike is the perfect combination for fatalities. We need a graduated licensing system in this Country. As it stands now a 16 year old kid can legally jump on a motorcycle that can hit 300 kilometres per hour and that’s not right.

I get a kick out of people complaining about School Buses being cancelled. Who are you complaining about? If it’s the drivers then educate yourself. The drivers aren’t the ones who decide whether or not the School Buses run. Also I’d be willing to give 100-1 odds that if the School Buses did run in bad weather and there was an serious incident it’s these same people that would be criticizing the decision to allow the School Buses to run.
