So the 14 minutes it is suppose to save is going to solve the gridlock that Ford doesn’t want to sit in when coming home from the cottage on a Sunday night. As Ford likes to miss question period my suggestion would be come home on the Monday and miss the gridlock and save taxpayers millions of dollars thank you.
My husband did chemo during 2020 at OSMH he was grateful that they did, even though his cancer wasn’t caught until stage 4. He had the upmost respect for all the staff.
Yet Jill Dunlop seems to of forgotten that they have now been in power since 2018. So for 6 years have been the cause of higher utility bills not the provincial liberals.
How much does the provincial government give for each special needs student above those who needs no extra help. Ford has been short changing education for years and it’s these students who gets the short end of the stick.
Boo hoo did they care when it was happening in liberal ridings no they didn’t. When riding boundaries changed in 2023 Poilievre could have said something he didn’t. Conservatives don’t like to lose so they complain about something that is legitimate. What isn’t legitimate is Poilievre still living in the opposition leaders free housing when Scheer should be there. Bonnie Critchley for the win a 20 year service veteran who actually lives in the riding.
That’s because in Ontario it’s HST which means it’s harmonized, so it was coming off anyway. Doug Ford decided to announce that they had agreed that the Ontario portion was coming off, but it wasn’t necessary.
“The Ford government introduced a new housing bill on ThursBut buried in the legislation is a proposal for "alternative options to lease expiry rules that could allow landlords to control who occupies their units and for how long," including through adjustments to rental arrangements based on “market conditions, personal needs or business strategies,” according to the province’s briefing slides Thursday. Housing advocates say if passed, the proposal will hurt long-term renters and vulnerable tenants, like seniors and students, across Ontario.“Everybody’s panicking. This is not the solution for affordable housing," said Stacey Semple, a volunteer organizer with Acorn, a non-profit organization"He is taking rights away from tenants," she said, referring to Ford. "The landlords are getting free passes to evict long-term tenants, especially because they want to collect more rent because it’s more economically viable.”
That school was built as a school children walked to. My daughter attended there from the day it opened. When it opened it was already at capacity then during the summer a portable arrived for the grade 4 class. It wasn’t even open a year, when it was built it had 2 classrooms removed to the cost of the build. There is now 2 portables.
Council needs to buy or borrow the plows that the blade can be turned away from people’s driveways so 6 feet isn’t pushed into driveway. Hint Toronto has them and they don’t get anywhere the snow amounts that we do.
I will miss this store. What are the plans for this mall Canadian Tire.“ Since the property was purchased by Canadian Tire in late 2017, the mall has been dramatically transformed.”From an older article https://www.orilliamatters.com/local-news/orillia-square-mall-slowly-being-revitalized-3-photos-5334438
My daughter took the bus to Georgian college (laclie route) the two times she took it in the morning the pass scanner wasn’t working, so how many passes haven’t been scanned while it’s been broken so rides aren’t removed from the fixed amount of rides not the monthly pass. There were students who got on and paid cash instead of having a pass. In Barrie Georgian college students show their one card for transit travel. She was using the bus as I couldn’t drive her due to breaking my ankles and their was no one to help us.
During the bus ride home for high schools and just before elementary students head home. Not to mention black ice or snow somewhere other than Orillia. The area is far and wide for North Zone. If you think you can drive your student to school there is nothing stopping you. Schools are open for learning.
I broke both ankles had surgery on the Monday kicked out on the Thursday. Choices retirement home or home with a 16 weeks program through the hospital. No assessment until the following Tuesday as the Monday had been a holiday. 1st PSW visit on the Wednesday. I was using a wheelchair that didn’t fit through doors (ordered by hospital) a commode. I was also non weight bearing on the left leg. I hadn’t been shown how to use crutches as they hadn’t bothered to fit the walking boot properly. They are not allowed to release patients into the program unless paperwork has been received and acknowledged. If they do the hospital has to provide the PSW support until accepted into the program.
