OPINION: We don’t need tough judges — we need Doug Ford to learn the law

Bravo judge.! Ford has enough shady dealings already. To also bias the court would be Trumponian, and potentially disasterous for Ontario communities and citizens.

Interesting that these awesome doctors need to break away from Group Health management to accommodate and manage many more patients. What is the inference here!?

I suspect Ford will promote privatization in schools just as he has in helathcare. Anything to break unions and fill his, and his friends' pockets. To heck with the public and public funded services. The conservative privateers must go...

Quebec quietly shut off electrical supply.... Doug Ford would rather beat his chest and spew rhetoric - than be effective. He's just like Trump with his threats and bluster, but Trump has far more CLOUT.

They have a plan alright... and this will continue until Ford and his conservative groupies are voted out of office.

I guess they feel entitled to preferential treatment. Pfffft...

Current provincial government turns a blind eye to it's constituents regarding health care. Privatization is Mr. Ford's mantra. We do have a choice about who governs and how.

I was up hwy 129 a couple of weeks ago. There were natives from London, Ontario parked with many trucks and trailers. Even a full size refrigerated transport trailer to store the meat from their moose harvest. Who knows how many moose they killed, before being asked to leave by local native tribes and the OPP. None of those moose would likely be counted by MNR. In fact MNR were never mentioned or seen on site... 🤦🤷

NAFTA was a signed deal also... how's that holding up.!?

The last paragraph says it all... thank you Mr. Ford. He didn't spend the last money we received from the federal government for housing (in time?)...

... wondering how those without access to the "Passport app" could be managed.!?

Education and Healthcare are two strong tenents of Canadian culture. Ford is trying to privatize and sell-out Canadian culture for himself and his buddies... Do we allow this on Our watch.!??

That stuff isn't safe anywhere on this planet. Only 20% of the uramium is used to generate power... The "garbage" (80%), should be projected toward our sun and eventually burn up.! They can now launch projectiles into space using slingshots - relatively cheap disposal...

Something definitely needs to be done... The transponder idea would certainly help. Not sure everyone would abide by 80 km/hr, or traffic lights every 20 kms. They don't respond to existing road signs or signals.!? Most serious abuses occur when the trucks are out of their lane. How can we address that.?

Every other province in the country has four lane highways which make up the trans-Canada.. Alberta has two (Hwy 1 &16). Our tax money is spent on OPP and their high end SUVs, for chasing down two lane tragedies and common folk.

Frustration and anxiety are rampant in that workplace. I know, I spent 10 years there... Strike action is one of the only means workers have to fight back collectively. Support the workers - they take care of, and support you. Management clearly cannot.! Always wondered why they require CEO, CIO, COO, VPs, directors, senior managers, managers, et al....

Pretty flat land along highway 11 until you get close you Nipigon. Upgrading that highway for (most) commercial traffic would ease up traffic for the rest of us - and be much safer.!

With bird flu, measles, border, citizenship issues, tariffs, and who knows what else.... why would we even consider crossing over for the proverbial jug of milk.? They don't test dairy and meat at all like we do in Canada. And now Elon and Felon have fired many of the agriculture inspectors and researchers...

Perception is someone's reality. If there are only 101 criminals in our town they must be very busy. The get-out-of-jail card likely underscores this perception as well, giving them lots of opportunity to perpetrate their crimes.
