Trump wins back the White House in historic fashion

I don't quite understand Canadians who are pro-Trump. Get ready for 10% tarrifs across the board and US protectionalism. Like him or loathe him, he is far from a friend of Canada. It's going to be an even tougher 4 years for what's coming.

Who would ever assume a 1% wage increase for the OPP? Salaries continue to soar way higher then that and raises consistently are higher then any other public sector increase (i.e. health care). At some point, the service may become unaffordable with continuing 24% budget increases. No wonder though, considering that "the thin blue line" pays suspended officers for slam dunk suspensions that lead to termination (often for years and years).

People need dialysis. People need to get to sick or elderly relatives. People are told to get to work. Wondering Why, what are you thinking? Nice to always have armchair critics to toss in their 1.5 cents.

90% plus of budget is salaries and benefits, as stated by the OPP above. Police have been very well compensated every contract in the last decade, far greater than most. I support police and know they do critical work but there seems to be little if any restraint on wage growth which can often mean less officers, who are paid more and more. 15.5% wage increases over 4 years is far greater than almost every other sector. New hires make almost $125k after just a few years. To project 1% was both irresponsible and irrational by the O.P.P. So they way exceed their budget projections. Every. Single. Time.

Some completely ignorant person thought it would be fun to make an animal suffer like that? Too bad animals can't return the favour.

Holiday G, What are you talking about? Teachers got less then 12% over 4 years so your knowledge (lack of) is shining through. OPP also get benefits for life. Don’t group them in with others.

Yes because , Rogers and Metro are such community minded privatized companies 🤣 These vultures cling to the public purse though. Swine at the troughs.
Trustee Lloyd: Why is the new Orillia school moving at a glacial pace in Westridge? 4 years later there hasn't been a shovel in the ground. While Westridge students continue to bus across the highway and be housed in portables.
