53Not saying Protexxa specifically, but as an industry these data centre owners have famously been lying about environmental, community impacts and job creation until they are built then saying “oops too late.”We don’t have much in the Sault but we do have our natural environment that we pride ourselves on and any risk to that is one that needs to have A LOT of PUBLIC consultation and sign off. “Exploring” the use of snow is not enough. Examples of proven, operational, successful models where they have implemented this idea needs to be provided or that loose idea should not be allowed to hold weight in the proposal..

SooToday 5Can you provide a source for your statistics or the numbers themselves? I only found studies in Google Scholar that support my claim, particularly the impacts on women (both Canadian and internationally). The studies I found that referenced subsidized childcare not having a positive impact, later stated it was due to the age of eligibility being too old, so the parent(s) had already removed themselves from the workforce. There is no entitlement, it is just a want to have a family while maintaining employment.
