Its truly pointless for parties on the left or right to blame eachother. the reality is that this was going to happen no matter whether you want to blame the liberals or the conservatives. nobody is making a deal with the deranged lunatic south of the border. no matter how much either side tries to sell you a bridge saying they are doing better than the other party. for once stop blaming eachother and work for a solution....

Last I checked. The Sault was a small city. Not a small town....and I dunno how much of a draw it will be when a portion of the tour will be overlooking a drug riddled part of town

its the same councelors that implemented the current horrid plans the city is using for their transit system, gutting the weekend busses and using an expensive and unusable dial a ride system on weekends to save 5000 dollars a year iirc.

Under easily, you see how fast they get vandalized in the sudbury area since introduction?

I think calling the population growth a "healthy boost" is a bit of stretching the truth. we currently have a housing crisis and are importing citizens at a rate that is beyond what the housing market can accomodate. that is not healthy in the slightest.

Its absolutely disgusting how far thieves are going in this city and how little is being done about it. soon enough, every store is gonna have to have bars on the windows, every place will lock their doors during open hours. how far does it have to go? Its even worse knowing the people that work at cases are some of the nicest and most helpful people and don't deserve the type of horrid people that have been stealing from them.....

21 percent in 3 years makes it sound better than it actually is. there are so many goods that have gone up 50-100% completely unwarranted. and just like when loblaws got caught in the bread price fixing scam, nothing will actually be done about it because their money is so deep in every politicians pockets that they turn a blind eye. loblaws got a slap on the wrist, but did bread prices go back down after being caught? nope.

dont worry, if the cops ever bother to track the scammer down, they will slap him with a charge for that too. and then the courts will give him a slap on the wrist and give him time served and a fine because he said "Im sowwy" like they always do. revolving door prison system.

its weird how adamantly against working from home you are. since if it doesnt affect productivity. you are just admitting that you actively want their experience to be worse by forcing them to waste time and money getting to and from work. weird hill to die on tbh.

thats not the problem. its literally written in the article....the steel that algoma produces isnt competitive in the american market with the tariffs. doesnt matter if they are buying the raw materials at the price agreed upon. the issue is they are stuck with materials that are usesless since they can't sell the finished product back state side and the amount purchased is too much for them to sell realistically without access to the american market.

I was curious where they were connecting the hub trail through. that will also make accessing the location via walking and cycling a lot safer too.

yeah the strike hurt the company rep completely, classic case of biting the hand that feeds. only one or two companies I got parcels from shipped through canada post even when they weren't on strike.

if families are struggling to buy 25 cent reusable bags, maybe they shouldnt be buying liquor.... not to mention this is how it is at literally every store now.

reality is our entire political system needs a hard reset. everyone currently involved is corrupt and only in the business to make money and improve their own lives at the expense of the rest of canadians while playing people against eachother so that they dont notice how hard they are being screwed over by both the left and right.

people shouldnt be camping without knowing the basics. was it not taught in school or by their parents? the concept of a hotline is fine in concept, but in reality its not really that smart. a lot of camping locations won't have cell service. and even if someone has cell service, it only helps with things they know they dont know. it doesnt help with anything the person thinks they are doing right....

I dont want to be the most pessimistic but, even reskilling 500 or so workers only helps so much when there arent 500 openings in the city. and hemoraging 500 or 1000 jobs is loosing 500-1000 families, that support the community. it hurts everyone, so sorry if I just dont see how training people to work other jobs that dont exist in this city is supposed to help.

So let me get this straight-Everything gets more expensive.-The company I work for gets a tax break-I get a tax hike-and my wages stay the same?

As always I think those in charge of making decisions should be forced to use public transit. Then we might see real improvements.
