The residents are still going to pay the big bucks for their care .. It's the owners that want to make more money .. Everywhere you go today , it's the same thing , can't make money if you have to pay someone .
WOW . $650,000 dollars on top of what the city has already spent on more and more bike lanes .And to think that all of these cyclists don't have to pay a nickel to use them .. Even in the 1960s , we had to buy a license plate for our bikes. Why can't they still do that today to try to generate a bit of income for the bike roads
Their is absolutely no reason that the existing hwy 7 between Guelph & Kitchener could not be rebuilt to suit the highways needs .. New bridges , interchanges , don't need to happen . They were going to do it in the early 70s , but due to government cuts they decided not to . I worked on it at that time . It's less than 10 km .
So where are all of these new residents of this property supposed to go to buy Groceries .. if it were me, I would most likely try to avoid all of the traffic and take a quicker drive to Rockwood
Guelph needs a second hospital .. it's too far of a drive to get from the south end of the city for an ambulance or other emergency vehicles . Now you count in Aberfoyle , Rockwood and many other surrounding areas . The city used to have 2 hospitals ..
If the bikes want their own lanes , bike paths and trails , then they should be paying for them . As a kid , I had to buy a license plate for my bike to ride on the road .. Everywhere are spending billions of dollars on bike ways
