American neighbours aren't our enemies, says Mayor Boshcoff

I understand the sentiment that you feel this American government shouldn’t be our enemy, but, they are threatening to annex us. This changes the conversation. There is a good chance I’ll never cross the border again. And I don’t think I’m the only person who feels that way.

Yes, I know they are not worth it until the first responders are saving you or a loved one from a horrific situation. Then they do it without asking for thanks. As a bonus they get to deal with the PTSD for the honor of being a public servant. Who’s getting slapped in the face John?

There’s nothing stopping you from attending the court hearings daily. That may ease your need for knowledge. Of course that will take more effort on your part.

Here’s some highlights of past prime ministers Mulroney introduced the first tax on home heating (GST). Left office in disgrace and threw Kim Campbell under the bus.Harper after two porogations, having carbon pricing in his platform and numerous scandals lost. Leaving his party in disarray.Conservatives are cut from the same cloth as Trudeau. Vote, but do your own research. Please don’t just believe what any party tells you.

The tone of the comments by tradesmen and owl are one of the main reasons why voters turned away from the Conservative Party. Demeaning, angry and aggressive. Canada doesn’t need those qualities in a prime minister.

The Ottawa protest was a municipal matter that should have been handled immediately. But it got out of control. The province should have stepped in to assist the municipal authorities. The Ford government ignored Ottawa’s request for assistance. Eventually the Canadian government had to step in.

Elbows up is one strategy, in any game or negotiation, there are a number of tactics. Only people with no experience think one dimensionally. Like Pollierve for instance.

Carney’s qualifications and experience in international finance and relations are what Canada needs to defend against Trump’s attacks. We don’t need a prime minister who acts exactly like Trump. Poilierve yells, insults people a lot, has a couple good slogans and a BA. But isn’t qualified for the tariff war facing Canada.

So in your comment you have already stated your bias. You assume that First Nations people don’t respect the law or don’t work. Then you alert us to another racial group. Ignorance is running rampant today.

You need to remember that our economy is a fraction of the size of the U.S. I would think that Carney’s strategy would have to change based on the mood of Trump. He is an unreliable trading partner and an unstable person with an incredibly thin skin. I have said it before and I’ll say it again a weak person has thin skin and has to use force (economic or otherwise) to achieve their goals.

We always need more dangerous goods shipped across the country. Is that what you’re saying?

If only the conservatives would stop falling to provide a leader and platform that could displace the liberals. But they have failed to do that since Harper destroyed their party a decade ago. I would love to see a PROGRESSIVE CONSERVATIVE PARTY emerge from the wreckage Harper, Sheer, O’Toole and Poilierve have reaped upon the Conservative Party.

Apparently she has more experience, better resume and a seat in parliament. Unlike Poilierve. Maybe you are critical of the the wrong person/party.

Do you have to be an expert or is common sense enough to tell you nuclear waste is hazardous? Experts have been wrong too many times in the past. When scientific theories and engineering fails in the long term. I am not a fear monger. I’m a realist.

Why are so emotional owl. You never post facts you just tell us what you feel. Calm down and relax.

Trump has seven bankruptcies in his past? That’s about all I have to say.

Trudeau had the decency to step down. Thankfully. I’d be thinking about the next federal liberal leader. Carney is uniquely qualified candidate capable of not only negotiating but standing up to Trump. Poilierve on the other hand has some catchy slogans, at least he can say to just say no to tariffs or something like that.

So you contend serious crime doesn’t occur under the conservatives? How about École Polytechnique massacre. I believe that occurred under Brian Mulroney. Or is that fake news.
