Some of us are just perfect angels all of our lives and like to see others get the max when they do make a mistake as they travel through their perfect world.

She is a public employee and should act like one. Just imagine if you were in a car accident, had her to attend to you and she thought you were an Israeli.....I say keep her away from the public as there are plenty of good people to do her job without wondering if she will when confronted with the a nationality she doesn't like.

I can't believe Orillia would tag a unit like the outreach that was there to help homeless and anyone else that needed it. As for downtown parking they should eliminate all the meters on the main drag, no traffic allowed, and let people walk and shop to their hearts content.

"We’re not looking at it to make money off it" .....lol....and they say politicians don't lie

The city can use some of the money from the ice storm they squirreled away to fix the problem properly.

A Volvo of that vintage was made In Sweden or Belgium and cost considerably more than any North American made car for many reasons but mainly because it was better made. Stronger, safer, better on fuel. Even compared to today's cars, a 20 year old Volvo would be less to maintain as it was much better made. The pot hole took out the woman's front end of her car, period Don't blame the woman or the car, pay the bill that the city owes.

Paid parking will not work other than aggravate the odd person as the cost to enforce outspends the actual amount gained. Besides the city is happy now with the cash grab that has hit our streets and are already looking for places to spend that money. Money that in some cases would have been given to our new hospital fund.

The world can see and is feeling what happens when unknown powers are given to a politician who are, in some cases, people who think they are better than everyone else and could not work or hold a job. The crooked mayors or any person in power soon show their true colours.

Unless you owned a major oil company or gas or a castle where your heat bill was excessive,, then most Canadians would get back more than they paid in. As for the scammers online, I believe anyone that gives away money to an app, deserves the experience, Heck even a handshake is long gone from our past as a secure deal.

I don't say much since this American showed up, Champlain monument left, and the same with the train station. But if you compare what bad leaders look like you could look south. Wouldn't make yu feel better but just lets you know that it could be worse.

If you live in Orillia then you know what needs to be done to improve the city and sticking a speed camera was not what I would have suggested. But if the camera income fixes the streets that have been in ill repair for ever, then great idea.

If you are going to hate a certain nationality and post it online, then I would be a little timid about her putting a needle in me or hooking me up to some paddles. By the way this was posted by national postI(American) which is the same as the national inquirer(American) and both speak as much truth as Trump on a good day.

Did you know that if you took all the money that was spent on the HRC in the past years just to heat the buildings, you would have money left over after repaving every street in Orillia. I'm thinking there has to be provisions in the plans for some retail space. Wondering if there will be a corner store(beer for my recruits) I know there won't be a smoke shop as the main drag has that covered. Thanks Doug

I'm not believing the whole story. This is a seasonal place then why pay 5G's to anyone for underground wiring as there is no recouping the money in a sale.

I find a good number of the people that complain about this country when ever discussing democracy, are the ones that are taking advantage of our structured system, good nature, and just want more and more out of our structured system.

Did someone say we need to provide more funding to the police. NINe (9) Million annually is paid to them. If you want 24 hour service then hire a good security service for a couple hundred thousand a year, split up the tab with the downtown and see some action for your money. Then you won't have to listen to the same excuses we have heard for years from the OPP..... After that the city should stop telling southern Ontario that we have a bed for them.

The city has bumped into a cash cow and it is all from Park Street residents and people that travel there and on Fittons. Should spend it somewhere.

Some people don't know it but we have a high school on Park Street and they have teenagers and teenagers have cars. You may find this hard to believe but when those teenagers leave Park Street they go down West and from there to Coldwater Road. And if they aren't in school they still travel the streets that they know. So instead of complaining about the sound, go to that place on Memorial, the place where millions of dollars goes every year and tell them that there are vehicles roaring up down the street and making noise. As for the speed cameras, that is like saying you like the idea of being the 52st state. Do you really think city council put them in for your benefit.

That is probably the best news we have heard come out of city hall and should never have been sold. Kudos to whoever had the cahoonas to get that done.
