Just returned from a two week Florida vacation. Fantastic weather, friendly people, airplanes were full. The exchange rate of 1.43 is not ideal, rate driven by 10 years of Liberal fiscal mismanagement.
A friend runs a large Canadian food manufacturer. I asked him the difference between his operations in Canada and USA. He told me that Canada has become an expensive country to operate. High taxes, large geographical footprint for shipping, and a punitive carbon tax that increases costs to his suppliers of ingredients which adds costs to his final product. It’s a government created problem.
Travelling within America, this has been fairly common for ALL travellers the past few years, domestic or foreign. Certain media seems to want to use this as a catalyst for division. I’ll be sure to smile as I head to Florida this weekend.
On days the sun does not shine, or the wind does not blow, I am grateful for my clean burning, reliable natural gas furnace to keep my family warm. These climate radical politicians need to realize these costs all fall onto the ratepayer eventually. Enough of their relentless taxation.
Exhausting the constant guilting of citizens that are struggling to pay their bills, eat, survive. We do what we can but are minuscule polluters vs. the super polluters of India & China. Perhaps lobby the CCP to stop building coal fired plants.
I see more bird on bird killing in my yard. Sharp shinned hawks are lethal predators. Also curious of the kill toll of those giant wind turbines scattered around the province?
Tibbits was given a 26% raise in 2024 to increase his salary to $636,102—highest paid University or College president in Ontario. Will he also take a similar cut as he’s imposed on the workers?
