Longer walks to/from bus stops will cause hardships for people. It will make getting groceries so much more inconvenient. Its already hard enough to carry heavy bags of groceries the short distances that currently exist. And for disabled people that is compounded. Grocery delivery isn't always a viable option either due to it being a bit more costly.

Instilling a love of reading at a young age is so important. It will be very likely that child will continue to to enjoy reading for life. Reading has so many benefits- a few of which are: expanding vocabulary, brightening imaginations, better spelling, the desire to learn more.

How about those who are sentenced to community service during the winter months clear the snow. Or even high-school kids could do it as community service/volunteer work towards their diploma.
