If the City needs to work this hard to spin a project to get public support then maybe it's time to just drop it and move on. The public doesn't want this!
Good to see some local business benefiting from the public union greed. The picketers must have felt really big when they held the poor truck driver up for 7 hours.
I'm guessing they city made a mess of this one and there is no readily available crane to hoist the tug from its present location without significant expense (bringing specialty equipment in from out of town). That thing looks heavy. They've likely left themselves with no option except cutting it up for scrap in place.
