It was very insensitve to buy a private plane when a lot of people are struggling to pay rent and feed their families. The cons have no idea about life for many people in Ontario.
Ford and Carney are not the same kind of person at all. The only thing Carney has going with our own Trump wannabe is that Carney is trying to get some good to come out of Ford's crooked government.
The problem is this doesn't sound like the instructor's decision but the gouging is by the College inself. Making up for less international students perhaps. Could save a lot of money by taking a bit off the top salaries perhaps.
Not helping our students as much as possible is very shortsighted. Many bright young people will not be able to afford an education. When a skilled work force is needed in the future the people will not be there and Canada will have to import immigrants whose countiries were smarter and educated their youngsters. Canadians will continue to be only manual labourers.
I think your mother was a great person. I understand her because of my own mother. She raised 9 children then took in two of my sister's children and raised them too. My father worked on the railroad and was away most of the time. He only came back for occasional weekends. As children we had to do our share to survive. When little we picked berries which my mom would make into jam. We also worked in the garden so she could can food for the winter. At 13 I had a job in a tourist camp cleaning rooms and serving in the dining room. I was never paid . I guess they gave the money to my mother so we could all survive. It taught us to work hard and well. We still had time to play and have fun. She couldn't read because she never had a chance to go to school. She was the oldest in her family and had to sttay home and help with the younger children. Those ladies just kept doing their best without whining. There are many now who think they have it hard but have no idea.
I think each person should be able to decide for themselves when they feel they are ready to go. How can anyone else decide how much suffering a person can stand. If the quality of life has disappeared , why force people to go on ? What gives other people the right to dictate when a person has had enough ? Isn't it pretty arrogant to think you have the right to dictate what others do with their own lives?
How many boards can one person be on? If they get paid that can be a very nice extra income.Reminds me of MacKay homes . Just before the sale to the social services board there were a lot of new stoves bought, a lot of trees cut. Did that smell fishy to anyone else?
From what I understand , they were not denied burial but only burial in a section that wasn't open yet. The Muslims did not want burial beside Christians in the part of the cemetery that was open . This is racism but not on the part of the cemetery.
