Poll: Readers say both Biden and Trump should withdraw from U.S. race

Do any of you Trump supporters actually follow U.S. news? He is: a convicted felon; a convicted sexual abuser/rapist; a fraud; a liar; a misogynist; a racist; a wannabe dictator; a philanderer. There are probably a few more wonderful adjectives can be applied to the narcissistic disgrace that he is. He deserves to be in prison, not in the White House. He will destroy NATO, will cosy up to every dictator in the world, will allow Russia to destroy Ukraine, and will dismantle the American system of government and of justice. He and his family personally profited immensely from his time in office. The next time will be even worse, as he appoints sycophants to every important position in government. He plans to pardon everyone of the convicted criminals who tried to overturn the election results, and those who stormed the government buildings, injuring and killing police officers who were there. Educate yourself on Project 2025. That should scare everyone from voting for him.

Ridiculous, and shame on the neighbour who complained. With prices of food these days, we all should keep a few chickens in our backyard. Petty bureaucrats at it again.

Time for Ford and his autocratic regime to be booted out of office. A record of corruption, mismanagement, backtracking, catering to Conservative cronies, misuse of public funds. Ford is one of the worst premiers this province has ever had.

So Mulroney - cash in the bag - likes PP? Birds of a feather, as they say.

Such a petty post. Conestoga consistently ranks number one in colleges in Ontario, and in Canada for trades education. They brought in international students at the request of the federal government, and provided good, solid education programs. Canada needs skilled workers, regardless of where they come from, and Conestoga serves them well

Ford, the mini-me Trump, is once again showing us his true colours. Democratic traditions are just something for him ignore, in his rush to concentrate power in his office, as opposed to local municipalities and organizations. He parades around as Captain Canada, making blowhard comments about the man he once said he admired, while all the time handing our millions to his corporate cronies, in a show of blatant corruption/pork barreling. And it's amazing who gets voted into office in this province, without any sort of public examination into a candidate's past.

Ford is really sounding just like Trump when he criticizes the judiciary. At least we in Canada aren't going to let a dictator wannabe over ride and ignore court orders.

Well, I remember that none of the elementary schools I went to had any playground equipment. We kids actually had to make up our own games and have fun that way. We were never bored. We always found something to do, and we learned from that experience. We learned to cooperate, to make decisions, to work with others, and that life gives you what you give it.

So hilarious to hear Ford (I was 100% happy that Trump won the election - I tell all my American friends that I'm a Republican) defend Gretzky. Wayne used to be a Canadian hero, but now he's just another MAGA, visiting Trump at Mara Lago. Why hasn't Gretzky come out in support of Canada? Mike Myers certainly did. Elbows up.

Universities, not university's. Post secondary education is a benefit to some. An apostrophe does not a plural make.

I love it how these young players have picked up the 'hockey jargon'. I just want to contribute; it's good to get that out of the way; we'll learn from our mistakes and move on; just want to win for the team.Just once I'd love to hear a hockey player actually say what he feels or thinks, other than spouting what seems to be pre-programmed phrases. I'd like to hear one say, "I played badly; I thought my teammates were terrible; I made too many dumb mistakes".Or, I played a great game; I'm after the best whatever trophy in the league; I'd like to get out of here.

Such a life well lived, doing what he loved to do, with the love and support of his family. A man can't ask for more than that.

The board members know what they are doing. Tibbits has been the best president Conestoga has ever had. In fact, he's one of the top college presidents in Canada, as is Conestoga one of the top colleges in Canada.. Tibbits has dedicated his life to higher education, to building a top college that consistently provides programs to meet labour needs. The Sault president needs to learn how to function in the post secondary system - he's not a politician anymore, but that seems to be his only qualification to being appointed president of Sault College. If someone unfairly criticizes Conestoga, i give Tibbits credit for standing up for Conestoga.

The facility was formerly owned by Nestle, a Swiss multi-corporation. No Canadian ownership here that I know of. And of course, business is all about money.

Well, what can you expect from someone whose family was known for their criminal activities?

Hamilton's Corner Garage was the best garage around. I always got my Volvos serviced there.

If you base your article on an interview with a union leader, guess what perspective and bias you end up with? Conestoga has done so much for the local community over the years in terms of job creation, graduate placements, community involvement, and much more. It's so easy to be negative, and to have the negative nellies - who know little about the situation - join in support, with the click of a mouse, as long as they don't have to actually state what they actually know. And why the 'defend itself' headline? Conestoga has no need to defend itself from some journalist and a union leader.

Lots of us choose to have wood stoves for heating and cooking. At least we have control over how much and type of fuel/wood we burn, and the ashes are great for gardening, etc. And there is always furnace oil for back up.

It was a good game. More people should come out and enjoy a nice summer's evening watching baseball.

Different population mix in the Brampton area than in Guelph - so many don't appreciate hockey.
