Will not go there. The issue...the Trump and Maga attitude period. The Americans voted them in period. Why would anyone spend their time and money in the USA just because they are acting nice! They still voted Trump in "again". I can't tell by looking at someone what may be going on in their mind so I will assume the worst in all cases. Totally disillusioned by their arrogance and ignorance of what the real world is all about. You had my trust at one time, you have justifiably lost it. It will be a long time for it to return if ever. A good start would be demanding the impeachment and removal of Trump, his and whole family's and cohorts prosecution for obvious crimes, which many are undeniable. Return to law and order as laid out in your Constitution.

How about getting the federal government to ante up as we are the ones providing care for the Indigenous population for thousands of square miles around and they are the responsibility of the Federal Government, not the Provincial or Municipal. They deserve medical care the same as everyone else but they and everyone else are not getting proper care, because the Feds are not living up to their responsibility.

Profoundly disturbing but not surprising. There are so many individuals roaming this area of town that are disturbed people. One doesn't know whether to be angry with them or pity them. These random and wanton acts of destruction are not the actions of persons in control of themselves and they strike out in this manner as a result of anger, despair or frustration. The lack of help for these individuals is partially a result of closing various institutions that were there at one time to treat these people. These type of people often progress from inanimate objects like the lions, our parks, playground equipment etc. to hurting other people or themselves. Police can only do so much as they are upholders of the laws and peace, not psychiatrists, psychologists or sociologists. We need more treatment centres not alcohol in corner stores.

Perhaps while investigating our over worked and under appreciated Police Department, they can take a look at the upper echelons of Indigenous Governance to determine how they can be part of the solution rather than just pointing fingers all the time. Rights are important to every individual and all parties have to participate equally in providing "real" answers and solutions to "all" the issues that our Police encounter one daily basis.Who the heck would want to be a Police Officer or even a Paramedic today in this society of disrespect and constant microscopic analysis of every single action taken that people disagree with. Taking on more responsibility and being less negative would go a long, long way to rectifying some of the outstanding problems facing us, not just the issue at hand.

What to say! Everyone that takes the initiative to work should definitely get a living wage. There are many, many people who dodge working by one way or another and they are supported in many different ways that make their lives almost as good as some who work for min. wage. These same people seem to have money to drink, smoke, have cell phones etc. How? Let's take care of workers 1st. Not saying that the bonafide needy shouldn't be taken care of also, they should be.Also, big companies should be paying their low paid workers more rather than giving fat bonuses to already overpaid upper management. Plus the gouging by these companies, Wal-Mart, Metro, Loblaws (Superstore), Shopper's, Safeway, Tim Hortons, all oil companies, etc. They're all making record profits at the expense of the poor and underpaid workers. Stopping "GOUGING" would almost be like a pay raise in itself, but not replace it. Small business is also being gouged just like their staff and customers.

Unfortunately the landlord will probably never see a dime. My daughter and son-in-law faced the same problem to the tune of over $20,000. Tenant was evicted by the courts and ordered to pay. Wages were to be garnished but never were. Been about 8 years now and nothing. No follow-up by the courts. Who knows, maybe same people. Should be a list of these people made available to landlords so they can avoid these free-loaders.

You are correct about the # of beds at the hospital as opposed to the Correction Facility. Both were purposely undersized by the Provincial Conservatives. This was an effort aimed at privatization. Their plan was the same as in education when Snowblen was Minister of Educ. and recorded and seen on TV stating "we have to create a crisis" within the system to advance the agenda of privatization. Same plan as today. If Mr. Bradshaw thinks that they will build an addition he is sadly mistaken. Increasing the capacity by double-bunking is a disaster waiting to happen. Problems started years ago with staffing as the gov't started putting unqualified, inexperienced upper management in place which destroyed moral and caused chaos. Discipline became a sad joke amongst staff and unfortunately the union played a part in this.Good luck to all concerned as this is a debacle right from the beginning.

The Police didn't really need another investigation. What they truly need is community support and an understanding of their job and capabilities while often working under a microscope and extreme duress. This is just another uncalled for demoralizing kick in the rear for the officers who, for the vast majority, are skilled and dedicated civil servants trying to do their best for a community that has some very challenging problems that are not being dealt with appropriately by the appropriate people.

This whole situation is just another example of this city going down the tubes. We have become a joke across Canada. I have friends and family right across Canada and they often ask " what the heck is going on there?Our local news just said....".What can one say!!!!If I wasn't so old now I would have left yesterday. Dirty, filthy, murder, assaults, drunks everywhere, defecation on the streets, fornication in public, the Police aren't allowed to do their job, insane taxes etc. Fed up!

Truly diminishes the public trust in our Police. I believe we have a great Police Dept. and trust the vast majority of them. But, it only takes one, and a ranking officer at that, to drag the whole force into the mud needlessly. I realize that Dimini is innocent until proven guilty but in my estimation and experience it certainly is not looking good at all.

Who appoints these adjudicators and what qualifies them as such or are they just whom-evers? I am not familiar with the laws, but there has to a degree of "human rights " involved. An elderly, ill person should not have to deal with this. She appears to have given them adequate notice of her intent to retire but the selfish ,inconsiderate decided to defy her wishes and the board has the audacity to continue her to be punished in this manner.Shameful, inconsiderate behaviour by all parties excluding the woman.This stress could lead to her demise and you adjudicator don't give a darn!!!Again, SHAME ON YOU!

Got off lightly. There are others locally that do the same thing and get away with it. It does cause extreme hardship for some as many victims are elderly and of limited means. Would love to name one business and name of person who has a reputation of similar actions. But, only know of other victims through 2nd hand knowledge. Be wary, and check all paperwork.
