I am truly disappointed in the developers in Craighurst. They had an opportunity to preserve some of Craighurst's history. The old schoolhouse was built a 140 years ago, by the community of the day on donated lands. The advertisments for Craighurst Crossing talk about small town charm. What charm will remain if they replace an historical build with a strip mall and a Tim Hortons.
Shame on Georgian Communties who talk about heritage in their advertisements. This was such a perfect opportunity to acknowledge and preserve the history of hamlet of Craighurst. Thus school was built on donated land and paid for by the families of the day and we are loosing it for a strip mall.
Well done to all the athletes who qualified to represent their divisions. We have young competitors from all over the province competing. Thank you to the organizers, the volunteers and coaches as well.
