What did these people do 2 years ago when bike lanes weren't a thing ? Making an issue out of something that should have never been erected in this country and climate to begin with. Explains why our city is broke to a T.
So we reduced lanes to make bike lanes knowing we have snow 4 months a year... now we are reducing lanes even more for vehicles because of this .... this city and council has gone bonkers to say the least.
To the biking concerns -Here's a simple solution ..... common sense says dont ride your bike in a snow storm. Period. Whoever thought bikes and traffic should coincide in a city that has 4 months of winter is delusional at best.
Mindless fools. Getting more than living wage for a part time gig that they dont even listen to their voters.... unreal to say the least. I must say it is nice to finally see people starting to wake up and comment on this ... it's about time.
Does this mean DC fees will be waived ? Less job creation.... more revenue for the university ... less taxes for the city .... how does this possibly add up.???
Guelph- we need more housing.... but you need to pay your DC fees...Also Guelph- Amazing news the university is talking about destroying commercial businesses to create a lot more housing for students !!! Don't worry... we waive their DC fees and we won't get any tax revenues off them. Oh and we will lose a ton of jobs ..... sounds like a fair case to me? Delusional much???
Well I'm so glad we are paying more taxes now than they did back then with a much larger population. I guess what they say about the older you get the wiser you are is still true ... except for the boomers still voting red
No! The university also should not be able to continue to buy up more land and develop it without paying their fair share. Why should the rest of the citizens pay DC fees or increased taxes for universities ? I don't see the lue collared worker getting any breaks .. or the tradesman getting subsidized ... just outrageous spending by a school that is darn near broke!
Another example on why do we bother with public input ? We can save years of planning and a pile of paid salaries on city staff by just eliminating it. They don't listen anyway to the stakeholders so why do we continue to do it??
Oh look ... more government giving themselves massive raises with less accountability and more costs to the ones who are already struggling and yet paying their wages .... unreal
No brainer to pick kitch .... lots more people and their downtown won't be in shambles during it. Council even considering this as Wyndham street is about to get blown up is just lunacy.
