OrilliaMatters 15Again , not sure why this is a never ending topic ? Can the City staff and council just make decisions to benefit the citizens of Orillia . Stop running snow removal on the Provincial standard please !!! Do what is best for Orillia . Trying to drive when 2 lanes are down to 1.5 lanes , people walking on the because sidewalks are not plowed , people standing on the road because bus stops are not cleared, snowbanks 6-8 ft high , etc . Just because it stops snowing and roads are plowed doesn’t mean the work stops !!! Just get it fixed , Citizens of Orillia stop voting the same councillors in term after term until these concerns earns are fixed . This city has to end the buddy/ buddy system at the staff and council level . Good for the councillors to speak up but they will be turned down by the other councillors who will tippy toe around Don the Mayor who is literally there just to say NO !!!

OrilliaMatters 10Snow removal hmmmm …. In addition to the busiest roads that are already done , I’m guessing they don’t get out much . As usual the City of Orillia does not have the knowledge or experience of removing snow in a timely fashion . Once they figure out it happens every year at the same time hopefully it will improve . It should be 7 days a week 24 hours a day until it’s cleaned up then stay with it . Put it in the budget !!!!

Year after year council fails in achieving the task of snow removal. Don’t let them fool you with all thetalk about their prized possessions namely thewaterfront and the so called jem of downtown… ya right . Focus on the time of Nov 1 - April 1 and make council accountable for their failures again and again , etc . Drive safe citizens of Orillia and help each other out . The City of Orillia will not help !!!

OrilliaMatters 3This happens every winter . The City does alousy job with plowing and removal. Then everyone complains and the City will milk it until the nice weather returns and we stop complaining. Start complaining and remind them during Spring , Summer , and Fall !!! Pressure all councillors and especially pressure the Mayor until they give in . In other wordsmake their lives miserable as they make ours miserable in the winter.
