I have a different view about Carney. He is not in this for the money or power. He did not need the job and stepped in to save Canada. At least the money being spent are investments within Canada. Unlike Trudeau where he was throwing our money around the world trying to buy himself a seat on the UN council.
Carney has other bigger deals in the works but keeping it quiet is my best assumption. He mentioned at the G7 that there were 80 bilateral deals ongoing. The world does not need the USA but it will cause an economic slow down as the USA goes bankrupt.
Doug Ford is the best we have to choose from. He has done a FAIR job and much better than I expected. Not WITHOUT controversy that is certain. The call for an early election is allowed within our electoral laws so therefore no wrong doing in that part. He has done a lot to help the working people. Keep in mind the annual cost of plate stickers are now gone, the provincial tax portion on gasoline has been reduced to counter the ever rising carbon tax. Ontario has been hit with the largest influx of immigrants in the country and that has added a huge stress on our provincial healthcare. These are a lot of things we tend to forget about. One thing for certain, he is a hard working person and a very smart person. We need him to deal with Trump.
I wish we would have a fall election so we Canadians can make a better informed decision. I am starting to have second thoughts on PP as I am liking Carney's interaction with the rest of the world. Mark Carney is well respected globally and the European leaders seem to want to work with Carney.
At RWZ. I use to cross the border several times a month. I stopped several years ago as after exchange, real food was just as if not more costly than Canadian. Highly deadly processed foods that kill you is definitely cheaper. Use to buy a lot of nuts etc. but they got just as expensive as Canadian.
They deserve what they get. They voted strongly for the bankruptcy king. They threw first punch. Don't forget that they started this wanting to bankrupt Canada. The results of tarrifs are coming to fruition in 2026 according to the past director of the IMF. Companies are now starting to pull out and some going filing bankruptcy. Volkswagen just announced plans of canceling a new Audi plant, a parts manufacturer for Ford and GM just filed for bankruptcy. Canada must get away and not get caught in the vortex.
