This is long overdue. There is a significant shortage of affordable rental housing in the North. It is very discouraging when you see homes and apartments empty for months at a time. It's maddening that people will buy a home, do cosmetic "improvements" - like installing quartz countertops, a paint job, replace flooring & light fixtures, then flip the house for an additional $100,000.

Did the large biker gang that visited PG two weeks ago, who's members wore skull crests on the back of their vests, operate/manage this drug house. Anyone know what is the name of the biker gang that had the skull patches on the vests?

People who buy homes just to flip them should pay the Speculation Tax. People who own extra homes and leave them empty for months should pay an empty home tax.

Very thankful that they will be improving the scheduled hours for the #5, 88 and 89. It is expensive to take a taxi to get home after finishing a shift at 10 pm on Sundays.

What a bone-headed decision to allow a car lot in an area zoned for medium density residential and commercial. I can't wait for the next municipal election to vote these clowns out of office.

We have an urgent need for more housing in this city. Get 'er done!

We already have three theatre venues in PG - Theatre Northwest, the PG Playhouse, and the Miracle Theatre above Books & Company. I've enjoyed several shows at all of these places in the past.

Let's get some affordable housing built in this area. Young families and older folks attempting to downsize can't afford "luxury condo" developments like what was built at the West end of 22nd. Ave.

So now when my son needs to go to the Westgate Mall for work, he will have to catch the #80 Hart/Spruceland at CNC, then transfer to the #81 at Pine Centre Mall. While it's good if they increase the frequency of the schedule every 20 minutes from the current 30 minutes during peak times of 11 am - 4pm, they don't say what the frequency will be after 4pm. On the weekends, the #88 and #89 has an hourly stop frequency in the evening. It's not pleasant to wait for 45 minutes for the bus when your shift ends at 10 pm.

I hope that the city requires a portion of the housing units be affordable. Average monthly rent for a one bedroom is $1200.

If the city would stop hiring consultants constantly, it would have the money necessary to replace a leaking skylight in a library.

Yeah, good luck trying to re-enter the workforce after taking five years off to raise kids until they are old enough to attend school.

All of the provinces across the country are running deficits - NDP, Conservative, Liberal, UCP, it doesn't matter. Trump's tariff's are devastating our major industries. It is interesting that an Alberta energy company is going to operate in Mackenzie to turn wood waste into jet fuel. Very cool!

So who would want to work for eight hours per week for less than $21 per hour? Welcome to the gig economy, where you need three jobs to survive. Good luck juggling conflicting work schedules. Oh wait, if your business can't hire locals to do the work, just hire Temporary Foreign Workers, since the unemployment rate here Prince George is officially below 6%!

Why reduce Route 55 during this time? People still commute to work during Christmas "break." Taxi's are expensive.

Why reduce Route #55 during this period? People still need to commute to work from Dec. 22 -January 5th. Taxi fares are very expensive.
An additional condition of installing the tower in the Hart is to install light hoods/shields to reduce light pollution. The tower at the Prince George Fire Centre at Opie Crescent & Ospika Blvd. contributes significant light pollution in the Campbell Ave. neighbourhood due to super bright lights that are not shielded.

I hope the researchers install game cameras in Campbell Ave. Park and in the woods between the CN Centre parking lot and 22nd. Avenue, because there is always bear digested food in these areas.
