Here's an idea - let's put all the services, a daytime & overnight shelter in that spacious white elephant downtown, AKA the Eaton Centre. Then the homeless could have a spot to congregate, get social service help, shelter space and a hot meal.I'm almost certain that the "limosine liberals" don't shop at the retail stores there. They could move out to the "main strip" & make money from all the pedestrian traffic, that city council and King Kam seem to think exists.GROW UP, GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSES AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS "PROBLEM". CITY COUNCIL LED BY KING KAM HAS DONE NOTHING EXCEPT FLAP THEIR COLLECTIVE JAWS AND SETUP COMMITTEES TO GET TO THE ROOT PROBLEMS. LOOK WHAT KITCHENER HAS DONE to help those who need it. Converted office space for affordable housing, tiny homes, accessible social services. Maybe King Kam should meet with a REAL MAYOR - Berry Vrbanovic, he has a head and a heart. Or think about my Eaton Centre revitalization plan.
Should we not be more concerned about homelessness and encampments and how to remedy those problems ? Really light pollution ???? Time for a deep sweep of this city council.
This is so disturbing, however it is happening alot. We've been following rescues for the last 8 months and the number of dogs that get "dumped" especially in rural areas is beyond dispicable. I hope that this dog recovers from the ordeal and is adopted to a person who will love her forever. As for the Guelph Humane Society helping - take that with a grain of salt - the organization which for decades was one to be proud of, has had an enormous attitude adjustment since moving south to the big shiny expensive building. Such a shame.
Although we no longer have cats at home, we do have a couple of trees in our yard that will probably need removing. That's the kind of business I plan on using ! THANK YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS.
Oh, and here I thought it was because of the talented dancers in the room called "Harry's Place"... so limber, loose and luscious !!! How I miss the seventies.
