How electric school buses could help fuel the power grid

The technology is advancing quickly to solve those problems. It's amazing to me that while combustion engines are so damaging, people get so upset that others are trying to find better ways.

ssmuser1234; If you purchased the gun legally you already are on a list, and that's the way it should be. If a rifle is deemed dangerous for what ever reason, then get over it and use what is allowed. You don't need it, you just want it. It's a privilege, you need a licence to use it and need to follow the laws to keep said licence, it's not your right. Move south if you can't live without them

It's gut-wrenching Irony they had the nerve to name one of the roads in the development "Brook Trout Drive" before they destroyed the Brook. Just sickening.

I am a dog lover and owner & that's why this statement bothers me: "Ge said the three-year-old Rottweiler and another farm dog had previously wandered from their large rural property but had always been safely returned. But this time it turned out to be tragic." It sounds like the dogs have been out on their own at least a few times previously. It's the responsibility of the owner to keep them safely on their own property. It's a tragic ending for the poor animal but there may have been an accident of some sort in their future if they habitually leave their property unattended.

Anewlocal; We have elections here, and we learned how federal & provincial laws come to be in school. Your North Korea comment makes no sense.

I think the "nostalgia" she mentioned might be in reference to many wanting return of the statue because they have fond memories of seeing it, playing on it etc.

What is the issue exactly with Electric vehicles on snow-bound streets?

The "rest of the world" are also working to slow the warming of the climate. Believing that Canadians are the only ones shouldering the "fight" is ignorant. Unfortunately it's a tale some high-ranking Conservative Party members have pushed, and it's worked. People would rather believe that we can continue to "pump the oil" & "burn the coal fires" and stay the "status quo" Rather than put the work in to transition to cleaner forms of energy. Oh, the batteries are being figured out. Very smart people are working on fixing problems. If people would take their heads out of the sand and join the fight, vote & lobby to fund it, we could maybe get there faster. It will be the lower income humans of the world that will suffer the most. Carney's use of a plane? There's too much at stake right now with Canada's Economy & Security at stake to get there by sailboat, but again, If you want to put your vote to work to direct funding to the science, maybe we'll have electric planes to get us there :)

You're very brave Jane to be so open and honest with your feelings. I believe the holidays can definitely make us feel worse sometimes, especially when your missing someone. I hope you find some peace for yourself.

If you mean the Teaching staff, E.A.'s and all of the other people employed inside the schools, they've been asking for support to help the students for years. Their pleas have been met with cuts instead.

"the seller explained she was no longer registered because it had become “prohibitively expensive.”" Accredited breeders are NOT in it for the money, to them it's a labour of love. They are responsible to make sure the pups have healthy parents, Vet care & every test required by the Kennel Association/Board to keep the breed's bloodlines free from hereditary diseases. If you're going to shop, investigate the breeder or (please!) adopt a "vetted" dog or puppy from the SPCA or a registered, well reputed rescue group.

People seem to forget that first there's triage to assess the urgency of your ailment and beyond the waiting room doors, the beds are full. Ford's cuts have made Ontario healthcare and education extremely taxing on those who remain to "hold the fort" Doctors, Nurses, Educators & support workers have been struggling to do their best with less staff for years and instead of blaming the Ford gov. and voting them out, they are re-elected to continue to gut the system.

Does the rate increase factor in subsidies the Ford Gov. has handed his buddies at Enbridge Gas? It's was projected in 2024 they will make over 2 billion in profit by being Ford's pic for all new builds in Ontario.
