Not very often I have anything good to say , but here it goes...... good Idea... we need more of these type of places for the aging community that can't live on their own.
I do feel for Can Post workers, however I wish their contract would be up for renewal in Mar or Apr when nobody cares if they get mail or not. It is a shame that citizens are being held hostage during the holidays to go without mail or parcels.
I have hardly missed the postal workers as I was hardly getting mail other than flyers. The one good thing about the postal strike is that the only remaining bill that I would receive, I have now made paperless. I gave up sending parcels for Christmas because the costs were too high! The post office always strikes around Christmas, so this was no surprise! The only people I feel sorry for are the seniors who are not computer or internet savvy! Otherwise, they can remain on strike.
This seems to be a test of the actual necessity of Canada Post. It doesn't look like the carriers are gonna win this battle. I don't know if anyone who has even noticed ,let alone miss, the snail mail. Alternatives for flyers are already popping up. Might be time for the Postal Workers to question their own importance. Just sayin'...
Canada Post lost $315M in the last quarter.Where could they find the money to meet the union's demands ?Look in the mirror !https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/canada-post-quarterly-loss-tops-300m
I personally don’t need Canada Post. I’m sure there are others like me.I’m technology savvy enough to pay bills online after receiving my bill via an email. Some people are not, I get it. And those that can’t have reliable internet or any at all must receive a bill and pay at the bank. But do we need 55,000 of them? And is 24% realistic in today’s economy?
