North Bay neighbourhood outraged by witnessing crated dog outside in the heat

Regardless of the reason, the dog should have never been left outside. Way too hot. What is wrong with people???

I see a person stepping up to the plate and doing the right thing when a matter needs tending to.When he learned prominent figures in the McGuinty government deleted e-mails in the gas plant scandal, Vic (as opposition Energy critic) requested the OPP begin an investigation. This act led to:1. David Livingston being found guilty of breach of trust, mischief relating to data, and misuse of a computer system. He was sentenced to four months in jail in 2018.2. Privacy Commissioner finding that Chris Morley (former chief of staff to Energy Minister Chris Bentley) and Craig MacLennan (former chief of staff to the energy minister) violated the Archives and Recordkeeping Act by deleting emails. You seem to want to criticize for no valid reason. Please use your intelligence to contribute something worthy of our time.

Go downtown - every morning crews are there cleaning... garbages emptied daily... washrooms at museum/ splash pad cleaned... needles picked up. The old tunnel under the tracks gets cleaned sometimes 3 times a day. Underground parking gets cleaned everyday.. multiple times... open your eyes

That. Cost. 70+ Million... I hope everyone who wanted an another ice pad are now happy. Our Roads took the hit for this. So, don't ever complain about the roads. Ever.

Absolutely, something needs to be done in regards to the inexperienced truck drivers. People keeps blaming the roads, but not the roads, it’s bad drivers! And there should speed limits on these trucks, some are going way too fast!

All I know is that 6 years ago my son took a trucking course and it cost him north of $10000.00 and he was in both the classroom and the field for a few months in order to get his AZ. the test was not easy either, he failed 2x before he was licensed. it seems back then you would fail for the tiniest infractions, what is going on now? I think the MTO is as much responsible then is the companies that are taking pay offs.

That's what happens when alot of trucking companies are cutting corners with the training process when hiring new drivers. Trusting others on our highways is a something I no longer do.

CN did send that train and other trains through this inferno. This train as reported was sitting on a siding waiting for another train headed in the opposite direction to pass. There was actually two trains right there, read the article before you post and condemn the Teamsters for standing up for there members. No investigation needed the story says it all!

Our MPP VICTOR FEDELI drives from Toronto. He sees the potholes everywhere but he doesn't appear to care about the lack of highway maintenance. No biggie he's a rich guy.

A better question. Why are not the residents of Northern Pines cleaning the area; giving back to a caring and generous community?

I see no value in this style of park, we're not living in a concreat jungle that would warrent this. Maybe a real part that has tennis and basketball courts, something we desperatly need more of in this city

I have a very hard time believing CN directed the crew to proceed through these conditions. And I’m sure the crew would not have proceeded if they felt the situation was unsafe. Conditions may have changed quickly (as tends to happen with wild fires) so it’s unfair for the union to just blast the company without a proper investigation.

For those of you who don't know him, that was Terry Parolin pushing the lawnmower in the 4th photo. True community spirit. I voted for him during our last municipal election... others may want to consider that should he run for council again./ Don MacInnes

No single reason behind the trend? Me thinks the emperor wears no clothes. I can think of 256 reasons? Where in the name of heaven are our promised LTC beds. We have less LTC beds here than we did in 2017?

To me, this looks like a deliberate attempt to discredit their employer, who obviously made a mistake in deciding to allow the trains to run. But these employees had choices and refused to take them — like stopping or retreating when you see danger. I've met my fair share of lefties who do unconscionable things when angry at management. One guy I knew worked at a famous sugar company and was shoveling heaps of it for shipping. So, he decides to pull down his pants and urinate on the sugar — all because he refused to use the tools conferred to him at birth: his brain and his voice. Why did these men drive into the fire — right in the middle of the flames — then pull out their phones?

Blah blah b;ah and nothing happens... maybe we need a new Minister or Transportation....

You have to ask why the dog bite in the first place. Has it been abused? If you can leave a dog in a crate for a week it sure doesn't seem like a great person.

It's nice to know that people care about the community. It shows pride in the many things we are privileged to use. I remember a time when we crawled under the fence and took our chances running across the highway there. It wasn't as busy then, I wouldn't try that now!

". . . this incident should never have happened. CN should never have sent a train down those lines. The company knows exactly how bad the situation is in that region. That fire has been raging for five weeks.”Did you know?I just want to remind everyone that under the Occupational Health & Safety Act, a worker has the right to refuse instructions they believe would risk their safety. To me, this was an emergency and it was beyond belief to decide to pull out a phone and start recording. Didn't you see the flames up ahead? And smoke? And let me get this straight: you drove right into it?

People need to question when things look out of place.
